Kent and Medway Creative Sector Environmental Sustainability Day

18th April | 10:00 am - 4:00 pm

Free

Creative Medway and Creative Kent are working together to support the creative sector across the county to work sustainably.

This joint event brings together freelance culture professionals, SMEs, National Portfolio Organisations and cultural trusts at all stages of developing their sustainable practice.

We will be joined by industry leaders Julie’s Bicycle and our local authority climate response and sustainability teams as well as academics and organisations from across the country to understand existing resources and case studies, share our experiences, explore new thinking and understand how we might set viable goals and work together to increase our impact.

The day will set the agenda for an ongoing collaboration, placing sustainability at the centre of our place-based work.

How can we and our sector be agents for local and strategic change?

Transport

We encourage you to travel by public or active transport. The venue is 25 minutes walk from Canterbury West Station and is well served by local bus routes. Full public transport and parking information can be found here.

Access

The venue has level access and disabled facilities. If you have any additional access requirements, please let us know via the ticket link.

Schedule for day

With plenty of time factored in for networking and breakout discussions, we hope this will be the start of an exciting journey together towards shared practice, resources and goals.

The day is convened by Creative Medway and Creative Kent working in partnership with Medway Council and Kent County Council and is hosted by the Institute of Culture and Creative Industries at University of Kent. This project is part-funded by the UK government through the UK Shared Prosperity Fund.
