Family Activity at the Royal Engineers Museum: Home Front Concrete Castles

23rd July - 30th August

Image of a green building beside a river. Over the image are the dates of the activity and the words Family Activity: Home Front Concrete Castles.

Linking to the Museum’s ‘Concrete Castles’ Exhibition discover how soldiers’ families at home during Second World War kept life continuing as normal as possible.

Make a ‘Ration Book’, ‘Identity card’ and ‘Gas Mask Box’ as if you were going to be evacuated to the countryside, away from the bomber flight path into Britain.
